This document sets out the Terms & Conditions of your use of the website and purchasing on carolinedickinson.co.uk.

By using this website, you accept these terms and conditions in full; accordingly, if you disagree with these terms and conditions or any part of them, you must not use our website.

Our store is hosted by Squarespace. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you as a customer.

General conditions

You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to, copyright laws).

The headings used in this agreement are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these Terms & Conditions.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms & Conditions. It is your responsibility to check our website for these changes. Your continued use and access to our website and our Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Artworks

On our site we offer Editions and Originals (one offs).

Editions

These are artworks that have multiple versions of the same design, but that are limited in number to a specific number of prints. The over-all number of each edition will be in the product description. (Example: edition of 10) The specific number of the individual artwork will be written on your certificate of authenticity that you will receive when you purchase your artwork. (example: 2/10).

The artworks within the edition will be sold in ascending order, or at our discretion, and the customer will only know what number edition they have when they receive their order and certificate of authenticity.

If you wish to purchase a specific edition number, please contact us.

Once an edition has sold out it will never be reproduced or re-printed by us, unless it is an ‘Artists Proof’. An ‘Artists Proof’ is the test print or sample print produced and will run outside of the numbered edition. The indication of this is having ‘A/P’ on the certificate of authenticity. All editions have our signature and logo on them, as well as Caroline’s signature on the certificate of authenticity.

Originals

These are one-off, unique artworks which will never be reproduced or copied on our website. They will be signed by us with our logo and you will receive a certificate of authenticity stating this is an Original.

Accuracy of colours and sizes.

We do our very best to provide you with imagery to showcase our artwork on our website, so you have the best understanding of what the artwork looks like. We have made every effort to display the colours as accurately as possible. We cannot guarantee that a device’s display of the colours is accurate and reflects the true colour of the product.

Your product may vary slightly from the colours and images on screen.

Our scarves are printed onto silk. Silk is a naturally varying fabric that is woven in a traditional way. Shrinkage is an effect beyond our control. As much as possible, us and our manufacturers take additional measures to make sure the scarves are the size stated in the product description.

Providing you with the products

Our pieces will be dispatched between 3-5 working days.

Following that we will check the order and then ship it to you. Shipping times are an extra on top of this lead time. Shipping times vary depending on which country the order is being shipped to. Please see our Shipping & returns for more information of times and rates.

We are not responsible for events that create delays outside of our control. However, if this does happen, we will contact you as soon as possible and will take steps to minimise these delays. Provided we do this we are not liable for delays caused by these events. However, if there is a substantial delay you may contact us to receive a full refund for any products you have paid for but not received.

If you are not at the delivery address when the products are delivered, you must contact the delivery agent to re-arrange delivery. We are not responsible for the loss of a package, cost incurred or damage as a result of the product not being delivered due to you not being at the delivery address.

The product becomes your responsibility from the time the product is dispatched to the address given to us by you when you made your order.

Damages

In the unlikely event you receive your order (you were at the delivery address to receive it) and you find that the product is damaged please contact us within 7days with detail pictures of the damage. We will ask that you send the order back and we will replace it with a new one.

You must send us the damaged parcel back in its original packaging (unless too damaged) and you must send via a tracking service and send us a copy of the tracking number and receipt. (so, we can refund you).

When received, we will refund you the postage and pay for the shipping for the new undamaged order.

Please note, as our scarves are made to order, there could be a chance of a 30day wait time to receive your new undamaged product.

Framing

All our artworks are sold unframed, and at this stage we do not offer an in-house framing service. However, we can recommend some local framers that we have used in the past for personal pieces.

Please note that import duties/taxes and additional payments due to your order crossing borders is the responsibility of the customer to make sure these are paid. We take no responsibility of these charges and they are not included in our shipping costs.

Accuracy of content

Content on this site is provided for general information only, Reliance on this content is at your own risk. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to our site.

Copyright

We, together with our licensors, own and control all intellectual property rights in and used on our site, and the material published on them. The works are protected by intellectual property laws, such as copyright and trademark laws.

You may not download or make any copies of any page(s) from our website. As part of the Terms & Conditions you agree to not reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of this site and use any content for commercial purposes without a obtaining a licence from us.

If you breach these terms, your right to use the site will terminate immediately, and you must return or destroy any copies you have made.

Service modifications/prices

Product prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue our services without notice, at any time. We are not liable to you-or any third party-for modifications, price changes, suspensions, or discontinuances of our service or products.

Errors, inaccuracies and omissions

Information on our Site (including service) may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies or omissions. We reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracies or omissions at any time, without notice.

Personal Information

Submission of personal information through our website and store is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Billing/account information

We reserve the right to refuse any order, any time.

We reserve the right to limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, or per order.

We reserve the right to limit or stop orders that, in our judgement, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made on our site. You agree to keep this information updated so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

Optional tools

Third party tools are provided without warranties, representations or conditions of any kind and without endorsement. We accept no liability regarding your use of optional third-party tools. Please use at your own discretion.
Any new services and/or features added through the website are subject to these terms.

Links on this site may direct you to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of those sites and accept no liability for any materials, products or services detailed or offered on third party sites, including those seen or purchased by consumers.

User comments and feedback

We may, at any time and without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use any comments or copy sent to us. We are under no obligation to maintain the sender’s confidence or pay them.

You agree that your comments will not violate the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, personality, or other personal or proprietary right.
